Q. Tell us a little about yourself and Gateway Bank.

I am the Marketing Specialist for Gateway Bank of Florida. Gateway is a local community bank providing banking products and services for both personal and business relationships. Gateway Bank will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary in January 2016.

Q. What do you do for inspiration?

For inspiration, I talk to my mom. She is one of the most naturally creative and encouraging people I know. I will also put on a movie.

Q. What is your all time most memorable moment at Gateway Bank?

It isn’t really a one-time moment. My most memorable moment is continuous. I enjoy most the relationships I have made with coworkers and the many many times they have had me laughing until I was in tears!

Q. What’s your favorite project you’ve ever been involved with?

In my last semester of college, I interned in the Marketing and Promotions department for Daytona International Speedway. I was fortunate enough to experience everything from setting up the National Anthem and Invocation for pre-race, managing the radio remotes during event days, and assisting with victory lane activities.

Q. What does the next 10 years of advertising look like to you?

In the next 10 years I believe advertising will become even more personalized as technology grows. The reach to consumers will be greater and mainly focused on digital avenues.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about working in the Daytona Beach area? What do you think

Daytona Beach has to offer that other cities don’t?

As a Daytona Beach native, my favorite thing about this area is being surrounded by friends and family. Daytona is filled with so much greatness, “The World’s Most Famous Beach”, Daytona International Speedway, numerous colleges and more. Somewhere that is always growing, yet remaining small enough to feel like home.

Q. If you weren’t working in advertising, what would you be doing?

I would be working in the sports industry. Growing up an athlete, sports have always played a large roll in my life.

Q. What advice do you have for students/people just starting out in advertising?

Continue to learn as much as you can. Watch webinars, attend speaker events, take additional classes.

Q. Where can people connect with you or learn more about  Gateway Bank?

People can visit our website or Facebook page to learn more about Gateway Bank. They are welcome to give us a call at one of our three locations as well and a Gateway Bank team member would be glad to assist them.

Q. What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

My family. They are my biggest supporters, my best friends, and the people who can always make me laugh. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them. (And I of course couldn’t live without pizza!)

Q. What was your first project?

My first project was maintaining and editing a new website. The non-profit I worked for recently had their website redesigned and I learned to manage it and keep it up-to-date.

Q. Before you go, is there one last piece of wisdom you can drop on us?

Enjoy it!
