Hear from top executive, former CMO of Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Steven Smith. Smith will give his take on the current state of marketing, how it's evolved, missed opportunities, and how ethics and integrity have affected the industry. Hear his recommendations to the next generation of marketing, advertising and creative professionals in a Lunch N' Learn event that will inspire everyone in the field. Whether you are a seasoned ad veteran, just starting your career, or a student looking to enter the industry, this thought provoking event will provide insight into your current or future role as a marketing and advertising professional.
About the Speaker
Twenty-five years ago, Steven Smith was tapped by a little-known car rental company wanting to launch its first consumer marketing initiative. He accepted the challenge and via effective advertising, Enterprise evolved into one of the nation’s best-known brands that, at Smith’s retirement, enjoyed category dominance with more than 1 million autos in service and $13.1 billion in annual revenue. Today, Smith is president of Markalyst Consulting Group and helps businesses of all types and sizes.
His creativity, achievements, and contributions to the marketing and advertising field earned him the 2016 Silver Medal Award, the highest honor bestowed by the local AAF organization. Pictured to the right is AAF President Dean O'Brien awarding this honor to Steven Smith. We are excited to welcome Smith to the stage once again to share his knowledge and lessons learned from a successful career as a marketing executive.
