2007-08 Winner's Book!
The first ADDY Awards competition started in Miami, FL., in 1960. The competition was introduced nationally in 1968 and has enjoyed more than 35 years of continuous success, making it one of the oldest advertising competitions of its kind anywhere.
The ADDY Awards have grown consistently since 1968 to become the world's largest advertising creative contest, attracting more than 60,000 entries in virtually all forms of advertising. There is a professional and a student component of the competition.
Among the many unique characterizes of the ADDY Awards, perhaps the most important is the three–tier judging system that allows work done locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to all compete on a level playing field.
Last year in the 4th District there were a total of 4,777 local entries into the 18 local competitions held throughout Florida and the Caribbean. The District competition received just under 1,600 entries and awarded 175 Gold and 159 Silver ADDY Awards. At the National level, the 4th District shined with 20 National ADDYs awarded to 14 Florida companies.
