There's more to The Daytona Beach Advertising Federation than just monthly luncheons. In addition to offering our members the opportunity to network with each other, we also offer additional programs that are of concern to our members and industry.
Education
The mission of the Education program is to increase student awareness and participation in the DBAF club and local Advertising Industry. Active student involvement is an important factor in the local advertising industry's success in the future. Throughout the year, DBAF offers a variety of workshops and programs designed for students. If you are interested in serving on this committee, or would like to suggest a topic, please email education@daytonabeachadfed.com
Public Service
National or Statewide campaigns start at the grassroots level. In addition to promoting these programs, we work with a worthy group in our community and donate our expertise in advertising. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please email publicservice@daytonabeachadfed.com.
Keep Art In Schools is our Fourth District Public Service Project.
Elementary schools in Florida are losing arts programs to budget cuts and a lack of class time. The Keep Art in Schools initiative wants to change this. Our goal is to convince state lawmakers of art's value and to secure money for arts education in Florida public schools. Visit the web site for more information.
Legislation
Our industry is very diverse and complex, but not as complicated as the laws and proposed taxes that could affect our industry, or a member group. AAF, The Fourth District and DBAF watch the proposed Bills to ensure your voice is heard. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please email info@daytonabeachadfed.com.
The American Advertising Federation protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities.
Our nationwide network monitors advertising–related legislation on local, state and federal levels. We put our members face to face with influential lawmakers. We also encourage industry self–regulation as a preemptor to government intervention, when appropriate.

The American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.
Annually, each AAF member club can bestow this honor upon an outstanding member of the advertising community. For many clubs, the Silver Medal Award program is the highlight of their year. It enhances the images of advertising by recognizing a locally well-known person for their advertising and community involvement.
Silver Medal winners from across the country are recognized annually at the AAF national conference in June. Winners' names are also published in an annual brochure.
