About Us

The American Advertising Federation Daytona Beach is a trade organization that includes a diverse membership of local business leaders, marketing and advertising professionals, educators and students. AAF Daytona Beach provides professional development, networking and educational opportunities through its series of exclusive member events, programs, socials, charitable functions and community service projects. Our chapter encourages local advertising professionals and businesses to join to take advantage of the many networking and professional development opportunities that AAF membership offers.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF), headquartered in Washington, D.C., acts as the "Unifying Voice for Advertising." The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry. The AAF has a national network of 200 ad clubs located in ad communities across the country. Through its 226 college chapters, the AAF provides 8,000 advertising students with real-world case studies and recruitment connections to corporate America. The AAF also has nearly 100 blue-chip corporate members that are advertisers, agencies and media companies, comprising the nation's leading brands and corporations.

AAF Daytona Beach exists to support its members, the community and the advertising industry. Its mission is to promote fellowship, education and career enhancement among members of the advertising community; foster and recognize excellence in advertising; champion public service causes; build an understanding of the role and benefits of advertising at all levels; and encourage advertising self-regulation and continuous improvement to raise industry benchmarks. The organization serves advertising professionals from the Volusia and Flagler County areas.

Students

The mission of our Education program is to increase student awareness and participation in the AAF Daytona Beach club and local Advertising Industry. Active student involvement is an important factor in the local advertising industry's success for the future. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of workshops and programs designed for students.

Every year, we award scholarships to deserving students actively pursuing studies and a career in and other related fields. Scholarships are awarded around February.

Public Service

National or Statewide campaigns start at the grassroots level. In addition to promoting these programs, we work with a worthy group in our community and donate our expertise in advertising.

Legislation

Our industry is very diverse and complex, but not as complicated as the laws and proposed taxes that could affect our industry, or a member group. AAF, The Fourth District and AAF-DB watch the proposed Bills to ensure your voice is heard.

The American Advertising Federation protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities. Our nationwide network monitors advertising–related legislation on local, state and federal levels. We put our members face to face with influential lawmakers. We also encourage industry self–regulation as a preemptor to government intervention, when appropriate.
